Guest Lecture with the theme Airlines: Not for the Faint-Hearted

On Friday, 27 May 2022, the Engineering Doctoral Program (PSDIT) held an online Guest Lecture with the theme Airlines: Not for the Faint-Hearted by Dewa Kadek Rai., SS., MM as the President Director of PT. Citilink Indonesia. In his presentation, Mr. Dewa Kadek Rai said that the aviation industry is part of air transportation for passengers and goods/logistics. Airline is a service industry, which for efficiency and safety in its operation uses high technology including robotics and strictly reviewed regulations/standards. For this reason, highly disciplined, intelligent, and mentally tough human resources are needed in running the aviation industry. The lecture also discussed determining flight routes related to demand for flight destinations and the history of flight flows. The determination of new flight routes is also related to network and revenue management, technical safety and security. Regarding ticket prices, they must follow the upper and lower fare limits set by the government. This guest lecture was attended by 101 people consisting of lecturers from inside and outside Udayana University as well as undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students from inside and outside Udayana University.
