The Study Program of Doctoral Engineering Science (PSDIT) held its 83rd doctoral promotion on Monday, 25 November 2024, at the Wismakarma Hall, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University on Jl. P.B. Sudirman Denpasar. Promovendus Agus Aan Jiwa Permana, S.Kom., M.Cs with the dissertation titled LSTM-Based Digital Counseling for Life Story Resilience and Depression in Students received a very satisfactory predicate.

Dr. Agus Aan Jiwa Permana, S.Kom., M.Cs explains that the study aims to develop a digital counseling model based on life stories to detect resilience and depression. The model uses the RTN-LSTM method of neural networks with short-term and long-term memory to achieve the desired results. The proposed hypothesis is that the model can detect the levels of depression and resilience with high accuracy and provide a quick solution for further consultation. The research results show that the model was successfully developed. Using the Twitter dataset, depression can be detected with the highest accuracy of 86% and resilience with 82%. The accuracy of the model using life history data from WhatsApp, Instagram, and STAR questionnaires was 85% for depression and 80% for resilience. The model is suitable for use in educational institutions and campus consultations.
