77th Doctoral Promotion
The Study Program of Doctoral Engineering Science (PSDIT) held its 77th doctoral promotion on Tuesday, 20 August 2024, at the Wismakarma Hall, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University on Jl. P.B. Sudirman Denpasar. Promovendus Ir. Edvin Priatna MT with the dissertation titled Development of Hybrid Model Free Sliding Mode Control with VAGWO and CPSOGSA Optimization received a very satisfactory predicate.
Dr. Il. Edvin Priatna, MT, explains that the focus of this research is to develop an improved model-free sliding mode control system through optimizing algorithms to optimize the control performance of nonlinear systems. In this study, model-free sliding mode control was integrated with the Velocity Aided Gray Wolf Optimizer (VAGWO) optimization algorithm and the Constriction Coefficient-based PSO and Gravitational Search Algorithm (CPSOGSA). The methodology used includes the simulation of different optimization algorithms to fine-tune the control parameters. The results of the study show that the control system optimized using this optimization produces optimal values of the parameters K and l, resulting in a hybrid control system with the optimization algorithm and objective function used to achieve fast tracking, reduce oscillations and increase stability. These findings indicate that combining optimization and model-free sliding mode control is effective in managing the control of control systems.
